Just  came across a new “Kickstarter” campaign for a documentary called “The New Masters”. A new documentary project by Sascha Matuszak about the meeting of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and traditional Chinese Martial Arts (Kung Fu) in China.

It’s a pretty interesting topic due to the globalization of martial arts through the vehicle of MMA. Especially to see what will happen to some of the traditional arts the sport start making headway in mainland China.

Below is a Sneak Preview (trailer) for the upcoming project; it’s interesting to see the clash between MMA and traditional training… and that there now are foreign MMA coaches at the Shaolin Temple! If you want to support the project you can do so at their page on Kickstarter.com here (you can donate as little as $1).
